A. 333 (as of May 1998)

Q. A Bengal cat is a hybrid or purebreed?
A. It's both. It's a hybrid due to it's background of breeding an Asian Leopard cat with a domestic tabby. It's a purebreed by definition of having its ancestory documented by T.I.C.A. (the International Cat Association.)

Q. In what Cat Associations are Bengals currently eligible for show?
A. This was almost a trick question... TICA, ACFA, UFO, and CFF, and ICE all are eligible for show. For Championship in TICA only. In ACFA Bengals are eligible in NBC. In May of 98 they will be eligible for Championship.

Q. What year were Bengals allowed championship in TICA?
A. 1991
Q. In state was the first Bengal bred?
A. Arizona
Q. What is the scientific name for a black Bengal?
A. Melanistic.

Q. Judges would rather see more or less spots?
A. Less. In a show quality Bengal you want large random spots or rosettes.
Q. Can a marble to marble breeding produce spotteds?
A. Theoretically NO. Genetically the two recessive genes mean you cannot produce a spotted from two marbles.
